The staff are friendly as well. My second order was the duck and Bulgogi. The duck tasted like turkey but its tender, duck skin tasted like the cooked skin of a fish but tough. My favorite ones were the Thai spicy and tuna, but the pork belly was also so tender and delicious falling apart meat with a generous portion. Dont sleep on this great find if you love bao. ”

Each one is packed with flavor, with soft, pillowy buns with perfectly complementing fillings. Beyond the baos, there are plenty of appetizers. Our favorite is Avocado chips. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, making it a great spot for a quick bite or a relaxed meal with friends. Highly recommend! ”
“ We tried the Memphis, Crab Daddy, Pork Katsu. The pork on the Memphis bao was so tender flavorful and the spicy mayo added a nice kick. Their thin fries are so crispy and good! We also tried the dessert baos, which were really good and not overly sweet ”
“ This wasnt the first time for us to come to Fat Bao so we knew what we were wanting what to expect. I wish I would have taken a picture of the menu but their prices are definitely updated and the photos on google are outdated. But also if youre ordering online the premium is We got a few shareable munchie items the fat fries with pork belly and fat onion rings. The fries were amazing and the onion rings was good but only with the dipping sauce by themselves theyre bland For our baos we got pork belly 4.5, duck 8, and crab daddy. The amount of filling is great really I could have used another bao to split up the pork belly and duck into 2 baos for each one. All were great and none of them disappointed. Im not sure the duck is worth the premium, but I still enjoyed it. For dessert we got the Banana Nutella Bao with a fried Bao with the Nutella and banana on the inside just as you would think but I love Nutella and banana! and we got the special dessert they had Thai Tea Tres Leches. Overall we love coming to Fat Bao. It takes the traditional Bao and gives it a twist on the traditional Bao. ”
“ Highly Recommend! All of their baos taste home made and from scratch. My favorite was the salmon one that had cream cheese and reminded me of a Philadelphia roll. Highly recommend their cauliflower appetizer too, theres a lot of different spices in there that make it good. A must to try if stopping in Houston! ”
“ We made it a point to fly into IAH instead of Austin just so we could get a car, drive to Fat Bao, order our favs, and get our fix before driving to Austin. Best baos were ever had and weve had manyyyy. Yummy byrd, Duck, Memphis, Panko Fish, and Walnut Shrimp baos are the musts. Onion rings were a bit too much batter and not enough onion ring so wed pass on those. Thank you we love you and we already miss you ”
